General Information
HistoryProvides family support services through individual support, parent support groups, workshops and engagement events. The goal of family support services is to help build community supports, empowerment, develop parenting skills and self-advocacy skills. also provides youth peer advocacy services to children age 12-21. Youth peer advocates work with children to help them understand their own diagnosis, build self-esteem and self-advocacy skills, as well as connect them to natural resources, community supports, and peer supports. Youth peer advocates meet individually with clients and also run youth empowerment groups. Family Support Services are open to children 5-21 who are diagnosed with a serious emotional disturbance or are at risk of being diagnosed. Youth peer advocacy services are open to children 13-21 who re diagnosed with a serious emotional disturbance.
