General Information
Description of ProgramProvides residential services to developmentally disabled individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. These homes are located on both the main campus in Smithtown and DDI's Huntington Campus. Children in residence attend Developmental Disabilities Institute Day School and then return to their residence where supervised recreation and daily living activities continue. Program operates 365 days per year.

Languages SpokenAmerican Sign Language, Spanish
EligibilityDevelopmentally disabled children ages 5-21 in Suffolk County. Must have a diagnosed developmental disability that is diagnosed prior to the age of 22. Diagnostic information must be signed by an MD or PhD. Referral required.
