General Information
Description of ProgramProvides students the opportunity to learn about the practice of law by working with real clients under the supervision of experienced attorneys. Provides legal assistance to organizations in low income communities that are unable to pay market rates for legal services. Services include: counseling concerning choice of entity decisions, incorporation of nonprofit and for-profit corporations, application for recognition of tax exempt status, drafting/review of contracts, negotiations of contracts, legal research, legal and legislative analysis, drafting of legislation, tax matters, support for community organizing, community education and zoning questions.
