General Information
Description of ServiceProvides diagnosis and treatment of problems with the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Neurologists commonly take care of children and adults with problems such as: headache, low back pain, weakness, coordination difficulties, strokes, memory problems, Alzheimer's Disease, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, seizures, and spells of unclear cause. Other clinics include: Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association, General Neurology Clinic, Child Neurology Clinic, Child Development Center Clinic, Seizure Clinic, Headache Clinic, Neuromuscular Clinic, and a Multiple Sclerosis Clinic. The department has three laboratories which perform tests including electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction velocity (NCV), to help pinpoint problems with muscles and nerves.
