Description of AgencyAn information and support center for pediatric hearing loss and the auditory approach. Services include: educating parents, professionals and the general public about auditory approaches for children with a hearing loss, including auditory-oral, auditory-verbal and Cued Speech options assists parents and professionals to endure that children with hearing loss receive a free and appropriate education that meets their communication and academic needs educates all about the advances in hearing technology designed to maximize the speaking/listening potential of people with hearing loss advocates to pass legislation that reflects the needs and supports the rights of children and adults utilizing the auditory approach. Provides financial aid and scholarships to qualifying applicants, leadership programs for teens and college students and mentoring programs for adults. Also publishes books, brochures, magazine and scholarly journal on deafness and spoken languages.
