General Information
Description of ProgramResponsible for the valuation of all real property in the Town. Produces a fair and equitable assessment roll for the purpose of property tax appointment. Maintains property tax exemptions for basic star, enhanced star, senior citizens, veterans, clergy, first time homebuyers, persons with disabilities and limited income, agricultural district, and nonprofit organizations. Also responsible for property tax ownership transfers, deed archives, splitting and merging of properties through filed tax maps, tax appointments and general information regarding real property assessment and exemptions. Maintains a computerized system for public use, which contains detailed information on each individual property within the Town.
