General Information
Description of ProgramIs the only institution of higher education in the United States to offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in the interdisciplinary field of workplace studies. In addition, its Extension division offers courses, workshops, certifications, and other outreach programs for practitioners, workers, and policy analysts. ILR's six academic departments span the range of subject areas related to work, employment, and the workplace. These include: Labor Relations, Law, and History; Human Resource Studies; International and Comparative Labor; Labor Economics; Organizational Behavior; and Social Statistics. Outreach through continuing education is part of ILR's mission. ILR offers a wide range of continuing education courses, workshops, and certification programs throughout New York State. Courses and programs are offered in: Management Programs; Executive Training; Cornell Labor Programs; Workplace & Employment Programs; Professional Development & Enrichment; Distance learning and On-site Training.
