PROJECT VETERANS' INDEPENDENCE

 
General Information
Description of ProgramProject Veterans' Independence is a Catholic Charities program partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Our goal is to place homeless veterans into permanent housing and help them to live independently within their communities while offering counseling and access to support services. Supportive case management, peer-to-peer support groups and crisis intervention services are available to all clients.

Client Information
EligibilityChronically homeless veterans, non veterans and families, with at least one of the qualifying disabilities (axis 1 mental illness, history of substance abuse or living with HIV/AIDS. Referral and appointment required. No age or income requirements. Have valid DD-24. If veterans have military discharge of any type except dishonorable.
