VETERANS SERVICES

General Information
Description of ServiceOffers an ideal university for military students. We’re a Yellow Ribbon school, and we are ranked in the top 20 percent of military friendly colleges, universities and trade schools in the country. Active, reserve and veteran military students using Post-9/11 G.I. Bill benefits or any other veterans affairs program benefits can apply and enroll in any of our associate, bachelor’s, credit certificate, master’s or doctoral programs across our eight schools and colleges. Whether you are interested in undergraduate or graduate programs, our goal is to create a smooth and efficient application experience for you. Adelphi is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium, a group of colleges and universities dedicated to helping servicemembers and their families earn college degrees. We’re also a member of the Concurrent Admissions Program (ConAP), which allows soon-to-enlist or currently enlisted military personnel to enroll in and complete college courses while they continue their service commitments. The new Veteran Resource Center is an invaluable resource to Adelphi’s veterans, active duty military students and community. Current veteran students studying at Adelphi can use the center as a place to use a computer, print documents or recharge their devices, meet with other veterans on campus, find out more information about local veteran service agencies or meet with Adelphi offices that provide veteran-specific services. Offices, such as the Center for Career Development, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Student Financial Services and Swirbul Library, will also provide veteran-specific sessions in the center throughout the semester. Additionally, a veteran liaison from the Mental Health Association of Nassau County’s Veterans Health Alliance of Long Island will also be in the office twice a month to provide outreach and support to Adelphi veteran students.
