General Information
Description of ServiceProvides a variety of court related social services designed to meet the needs of crime victims, their families, and witnesses of crime. Objectives are to assist crime victims and witnesses in coping with emotional trauma of being a victim and to help deal with the criminal court system. Services include assistance to victims required to appear in court, aids victims and witnesses in filing applications with the New York Crime Victims Board, makes referrals to social service and counseling agencies as well as assistance with victim impact statements and Orders of Protection.
