General Information
Description of ServiceThe Parent-Child Home Program provides one home visit for one hour a week for families with children ages 2 and 3 years old. Each week the home visitor brings the family a book or educational toy that remains with them permanently. The home visitor models parenting techniques, emphasizing verbal interaction and learning through play. The goal is to help parents become their child's first and most important teacher and ensure that these children enter school ready to learn and succeed. Families with low-income, low education level and children, ages 2 and 3, are targeted. Walk-in, call.
