Description of ServiceProvides information, referral, advocacy, training and support for parents and professionals seeking programs and services for special needs children age birth to 26 with learning, developmental, emotional or physical disabilities. Can act as case manager if needed. Provides training and technical assistance on educational issues. Maintains database on special needs services in New York City region. Publishes directories, including a Comprehensive Directory and Directory of Camps and Summer programs. Designated a Parent Training and Information Center by the United States Department of Education.
