General Information
Description of ServiceOffers free night lectures usually on topics in the geosciences related to the current research of the faculty, staff and students of SUNY Stony Brook. These presentations are intended for: those interested in new developments in the sciences, earth science high school students and teachers, undergraduate and graduate students in geosciences and professional geologists. In-service credit is available for teachers attending the Geology Open Night Lectures. Lectures are held on select Fridays during the month in Lecture Room 001 in the Earth and Space Sciences Building. Usually four lectures a semester are scheduled. Some disability-related accommodations are available. Call the Department before 4pm to inform them of your requirements. There will be Refreshments and Demonstrations after the Geology Open Night Presentations. For further information and lectures dates and times contact the Department.
