General Information
Description of ServiceAssists in promoting boating safety on Long Island. Also assists the Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as public education, vessel safety checks, safety patrols, search and rescue, marine environmental protection, and Coast Guard Academy introduction programs for youth. First District Southern Region Divisions 1, 12, 13, 18 and 21 serves Long Island. Flotillas are located at Queens, East Farmingdale, Port Washington, and Glen Cove/Glenwood.
