Description of ServiceResponsible for developing new ways to improve the delivery of supports and services to New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and their families. Focus is on increased opportunities for consumers to become involved in the community, secure education, employment and housing. Comprised of volunteers appointed by the Governor, council meets quarterly to identify and discuss current issues.
