General Information
Description of ServiceOffers a 2-week intensive summer camp that focuses on the marine ecosystems of Long Island. Through fieldwork and lab investigations, students examine the non-living and the living aspects of north and south shore environments. Topics such as human impact, ecological interactions such as food webs and biological community structure, and the scientific method are explored through hands-on activities. MSI is offered to students attending 7th grade in the fall, and takes place during July or August. This program is offered free of charge through a partnership with New York Institute of Technology.
