The courses, which may be available via the Internet, usually focus on the content areas covered by the examination, the format of the specific test, and test-taking techniques that can be used to increase the individual's speed and confidence. Practice questions may be available as well as essay evaluation materials, where applicable.

CENTRAL STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIANOffers a program for students to become a certified Central Sterile Processing Technician who processes and sterilizes surgical instruments in hospitals, surgical centers and other health facilities. The course will help prepare entry-level technicians and refresh current technicians who want to earn certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM). Scientific principles of processing, sterilization, storage, distribution and inventory control of medical and surgical instruments and equipment for the Operating Room, Emergency Room and other areas of the hospital or healthcare facility will be stressed. This program will cover the primary responsibilities of the technicians and provide the knowledge necessary to be successful in this important field. Study anatomy and physiology, microbiology, infection control, disinfection and sterilization procedures, surgical instrumentation, and packaging and management of patient care supplies and equipment. The coursework incorporates classroom and laboratory learning activities and resources and will include a 400-hour Clinical Internship to be scheduled upon completion of 250 classroom hours. COSMETOLOGY/APPEARANCE ENHANCEMENTOffers a Cosmetology master class taught by industry professionals and offers Onsite Salon experiences throughout your program. HOME INSPECTIONOffering a New York State approved program to become a licensed Home Inspector. Home inspectors conduct inspections of newly built or previously owned homes, condominiums, town homes, apartments, and at times commercial buildings. New York State legislation mandates that all home inspectors in New York obtain a license. An applicant must have successfully completed high school or its equivalent and complete 140 hours of approved training, including 40 hours of unpaid inspection experience under the direct supervision of a licensed inspector, or have 100 hours of paid or unpaid inspection experience under the direct supervision of a licensed inspector. Molloy College offers the approved 140-hour course of study consisting of 5 Modules. IMAGING TECHNOLOGIESOffers two programs Computed Tomography (CT) Cross Training: Registry Prep And Review And Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program: Registry Prep And Review. The goal of the Computed Tomography (CT) Cross Training: Registry Prep And Review is to prepare Radiologic Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists and Radiation Therapy Technologists to sit for and pass the ARRT exam in Computed Tomography. Course curricula and clinical competency follow the guidelines established by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The curriculum also corresponds with all of the requirements set forth by the NMTCB for their CT specific exam. Comprehensive didactic instruction includes, but is not limited to: patient care and safety, CT physics, systems operations and instrumentation, cross-sectional anatomy/data acquisition, image display and post processing of all imaging procedures, quality control, informatics, contrast media and administration along with intensive examination. Students are required to pass the program with a minimum of a 75% grade point average and will receive the ASRT approved 72 hours of CEU credits if they attend the entire didactic program. Attendance is mandatory for CEU credits. To qualify and complete all of the board requirements, Students will be required to meet all supervised clinical competency standards (at participating facilities or at your own place of employment) to be eligible for the ARRT and NMTCB exam. Sample programs include: The Saturday Scholars Academy which is designed to provide students with supplemental academic support leading to completion of high school. The Summer Programs include the Interactive Summer Programs and the Summer Scholars Academy. The Interactive Summer program enrolls LPP participants in internships and classes, during the summer, to explore different careers, through connecting theory and practice. Thematic educational trips, connected to internships, are scheduled throughout the summer, to further enhance learning as well as provide career exposure external to the classroom. The trips also provide information on how the discipline is applied in the real world. Lunch is typically provided throughout the week.
