The six weekly sessions are taught by registered nurses certified by the Council of Childbirth Education specialists. Topics reviewed include: signs of labor, labor process, possible medications, anesthesia, newborn care, breathing and relaxation techniques, bottle/breastfeeding, and post-partum care.
