ADULT LEARNING CENTEROffers a variety of programs for adults who want to become more employable through improving their English language skills and basic education. The English as a Second Language program helps adults to listen, speak, read and write in English. The Adult Basic Education program helps students to improve their reading, writing and math skills. The High School Equivalency program, for adults who did not complete high school, helps students prepare for the New York State High School Equivalency Exam. All classes assist Adult Learning Center students to be prepared for college or career choices. Our staff works with all students to ensure that they are placed in the correct course for their particular needs. Classes are free (except for a required registration fee, book and software fee) to adults over 21 years of age. Classes are offered at various locations.
