The programs are generally open to people of all ability levels; have divisions for juveniles as well as adults; provide practice and training sessions; offer firearm safety education; and may sponsor or make arrangements for members to participate in local competitions in which marksmen and women use pistols, rifles and/or shotguns to fire at stationary or moving targets from either a standing or prone position.
