    Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy lacrosse, a game in which players use a long-handled stick that has a triangular head with a mesh pouch for catching, carrying, and throwing the ball. Divisions within the sport include men's field lacrosse, women's lacrosse, indoor lacrosse, box lacrosse and intercrosse, each with variations on rules, field type, gender and equipment. The programs may provide coaching assistance to help participants play efficiently and work together as a team and are often organized into leagues, i.e., groups of teams that are formed to play one another in organized competitions. Access to a lacrosse field or rink, and necessary equipment, uniforms, if necessary, and referees for games may also be available.

    MULTI-SPORTS CAMPOffers a multi-sport program which is designed to be the perfect blend of sports, recreational games, and camaraderie with campers entering grades 3-10 participating in a multitude of exciting, fun-filled games. The curriculum is designed to be fun and instructional, and includes age appropriate skill building activities. Campers learn all the fundamentals with which to build a solid sports foundation.     PIONEER SPORTS ACADEMYOffers summer sports camps. The Pioneer Sports Academy upholds the same extraordinary standards as the C.W. Post Summer Day Camp. The program falls under the umbrella of C.W. Post Youth Camps and is licensed by the New York State Health Department and accredited by the American Camping Association. All sports camps will be led by the coaches of the C.W.     SETH TIERNEY BOYS LACROSSE CAMPOffers a lacrosse camp for boys entering grades 2 through 12 who desire a full day of training experience in all facets of lacrosse. The camp places strong emphasis on instruction and works to improve your son’s skills each-and-every day all while stressing the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and focus. The camp is geared to boys who desire a full day of Lacrosse training. The goal of our Boys Lacrosse Camp is to teach the basics of individual, group and team lacrosse -- and have fun while doing it. Players learn the fundamental aspects of dodging, passing, catching and shooting, as well as individual defense, goalie play and face-off techniques. In addition, players learn team skills such as team offense, riding, clearing, team defense and transition play. Campers are placed on teams based on their age and ability, but will be adjusted, according to size, maturity and skill level following observation and evaluation by our professional coaches. Each day is divided into four periods: two practice sessions, lunch and an educational lecture and/or film, as well as the opportunity to swim twice per week. Lacrosse Camp utilizes Hofstra University’s state-of-the-art, outdoor facilities, an indoor heated Olympic-sized swimming pool and a fully equipped infirmary staffed by registered nurses. With expert instruction and a motivating, positive learning environment, Boys Lacrosse Camp provides the ultimate opportunity for learning skills and gaining confidence while having fun and making friends.     SHANNON SMITH GIRLS LACROSSE CAMPOffers a lacrosse camp for girls entering grades 2-12. Lacrosse camp is for every player to learn new skills and have fun playing the sport we all love! Instruction includes individual skills, strategies and game play. With a knowledgeable and experienced staff, we strive to educate each player and build on his or her strengths while addressing any weaknesses. The counselors demonstrate techniques and develop campers’ skills in a fun, positive environment, and they encourage players of all abilities to be successful at the next level. All players are divided by age and experience, and requests to be with friends will be honored. The day is divided into station/drill sessions, individual instruction, team practice, and tournament game play. Campers receive hands-on, individual attention in all areas of the game. Instruction includes, but is not limited to, catching, throwing, stick handling, dodging, draws, goal keeping, transition, groundballs, and defensive and offensive scenarios. Each camper should wear daily: cotton T-shirt, athletic shorts, sneakers, sweat socks, cleats. Please bring a lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouthguard. All goalies are responsible for bringing their own equipment. Bathing suit and towel are needed on assigned swim days. Campers must bring their own water bottle.
