    Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy indoor, grass and/or beach volleyball, a game in which an inflated ball is volleyed over a net. The programs may provide coaching assistance and access to necessary equipment and facilities; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in volleyball competitions and provide officials for the games. League play may also be available and is usually organized according to ability level.

    EMILY MANSUR VOLLEYBALL CAMPOffers a volleyball camp for girls and boys entering grades 2 – 12. Volleyball Camp is for both girls and boys who desire a full day of volleyball training and instruction. Camp provides a healthy atmosphere in which campers can enjoy playing volleyball and developing friendships. Players will develop their skills through frequent ball contact in a fun yet challenging environment. Games and competition will be used throughout camp as a learning tool with continued positive feedback. This program is available to players of all ability levels. Campers are placed into groups of similar skill level in order to insure the most improvement, challenge and excitement. The intended goal is to motivate the skilled player, while teaching the beginner the basics to building a strong foundation in volleyball. All aspects of the game will be covered on both individual and team levels. Daily Program includes: Stretching and warm-up exercises; Volleyball fundamentals: passing, setting, attacking, serving, defense and blocking; Offensive and defensive strategic development; Position breakdown; Competitions; Game play; Continuous evaluation and supervision and Coaches instruction-lectures. Each camper should wear daily: comfortable athletic shoes, socks, shorts, and a cotton T-shirt. Players must bring their water bottle. Bathing suit and towel will be needed on assigned swim days.     GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CAMPOffers numerous summer camps and clinics throughout the year for student-athletes of varying ages looking to have some fun and improve their skills. Adelphi is proud to host their popular Nike Volleyball Camps in Garden City under the direction of Head Women's Coach Danielle MacKnight. This year we are offering Full Day (9:00am-2:00pm) and Half Day (1:00pm-4:00pm) camps for girls, ages 11-14, of all ability levels. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level. Campers will master the fundamentals and develop proper mechanics through a mix of drills, games and competitive play. These volleyball camps provide girls (ages 11-14) with an opportunity to get better through individual instruction, position specific training, and fun competition. Highlights include: Instruction from collegiate coaching staff and players; Full Day and Half Day program options; Open to all skill levels; 1:10 staff to camper ratio and All campers receive an Adelphi Volleyball Camp T-shirt.     HITHER HILLS STATE PARKOffers ocean front camping (April to mid November for tent and trailer sites), hiking, nature trails, hunting, swimming, 2.5 miles of ocean beach, salt water surf fishing, fresh water fishing (w/NYS fishing license), softball field, volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, general store, bridle paths, and cross country skiing.     JONES BEACH STATE PARKOffers 6.5 miles of ocean beaches, part of a 2,413-acre park. Main attractions include swimming, surf fishing, and a 14,400-seat amphitheater.     MULTI-SPORTS CAMPOffers a multi-sport program which is designed to be the perfect blend of sports, recreational games, and camaraderie with campers entering grades 3-10 participating in a multitude of exciting, fun-filled games. The curriculum is designed to be fun and instructional, and includes age appropriate skill building activities. Campers learn all the fundamentals with which to build a solid sports foundation. They are taught proper technique, strategy, and sportsmanship with the same philosophy that has been the Future Stars trademark for over 30 years. Directors and coaches are experienced and certified sports instructors with the vast majority employed year-round in the Physical Education field. Future Stars Summer Camps programs at Farmingdale State College are permitted to operate by Suffolk County Dept.of.Health. All programs take place on campus.     VOLLEYBALL CAMPOffering All Skills Camp, Attacking Camp, Setting Camp, Libero Camp, Elite Camp and Satellite Camp. The All Skills Camp is designed for players of all levels ranging from beginner to varsity level entering grades 6-12. Campers will receive 12 hours of skills instruction covering the six main skills needed to become a successful volleyball player. Skills will be taught in both individual and team settings. We will also discuss what it takes what it takes to be a collegiate athlete and other important topics for today’s athletes. At the Attacking Camp athletes will learn from transitioning off the net to a powerful approach to a multi-directional arm swing, campers grades 6-12 can expect to learn every facet of attacking from Coach Bullock. You will learn to see the block as you jump, which will decide whether you attack down the line, seam, or angle. At Setting Camp: This camp will include two skilled and technique packed sessions led by Stony Brook Head Volleyball Coach Kristin Belzung. Coach Belz, campers grades 6-12 will focus on hand position, body posture, footwork patterns, release, location, and decision making. Libero Camp: This camp will be broken into serve receive skills and defensive skills during the two sessions. Coach Neef will put strong emphasis on body position, footwork, platform examination, various digging techniques, advanced floor skills, and ball handling techniques for serve receive and defense for campers grades 6-12. The Elite Camp is recommended for athletes with multiple years of club volleyball experience, high school athletes, and players that are expecting to play volleyball at the collegiate level. You will experience two intense days of college level instruction that will resemble training sessions and drills used in the Stony Brook Volleyball Program daily. Satellite Camps: If your time is short and you can’t get away don’t worry, we will come to you. We can bring our camps to your school or club.
