    Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages, ability levels and interests to learn, become competitive in and enjoy water skiing, a sport in which participants wearing skies are towed by a motor boat. Skiers can use single or double skies or can ski barefoot. The program may provide water skiing instruction and access to necessary equipment. Included are programs for people who are interested in recreational water skiing and want to learn basic skills, and those for serious skiers who want to perform in water ski shows and/or compete in racing events or traditional tournaments that feature slalom, ski jumping and trick events.
