To work with other artists on a campus designed for the teaching of the arts, is an unusual and remarkable way to study. In addition to the planned programs, the nature of study at the Long Island High School for the Arts develops from the character of the individuals, the chemistry of the group and the singularity of the environment. LIHSA offers programs in Theatre, Dance, Music, Special Effects, Digital Media, Fine Arts and Film. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a budding composer, we have a space that is designed for you. LIHSA’s facilities are an essential part of the education and training. Our 4 acre plus campus consists of three buildings, totaling close to 40,000 square feet of space, created expressly for the purpose of training professional artists. The Rosalind Joel Conservatory for Music and Theatre is home to The Seymour Weiner Theatre, a well equipped 350 seat space venue, two black box theaters, a digital recording studio, music classrooms, rehearsal rooms, teaching spaces, a workshop space dedicated to scenery, properties and costume creation.
