STALLER CENTER FOR THE ARTSOffers performances that educate, enlighten and entertain audiences across the University, greater community and region. We produce and present outstanding and diverse professional and university sponsored performances, exhibits and educational programs in the areas of music, dance, theater, film, and fine art. The Staller Center hosts hundreds of events every year. Our biggest point of pride is our annual live performance season, featuring the best in live music, dance, and theatrical performances. We also host movies throughout the year with a Fall and Spring Friday Night Movie Series, as well as our very own Stony Brook Film Festival, featuring the 10 days of the best in independent films. With numerous annual art exhibitions in our Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery, as well as University sponsored and Academic events, there is something for everyone at Staller Center. TILLES CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTSLocated on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville the Center presents over 70 performances by world-renowned artists in music, theater and dance each season. Among the artists and ensembles that have been presented by the Center are the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Seiji Ozawa, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, the Big Apple Circus, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, James Taylor, the Paper Bag Players, Wynton Marsalis, and the MET Orchestra with James Levine. In addition, Tilles Center is home to important regional arts organizations including the Long Island Philharmonic and Eglevsky Ballet. Tilles Center’s Concert Hall seats 2242 and features orchestral performances, fully-staged operas, ballets and modern dance, along with Broadway shows, and all forms of music, dance and theater from around the world.
