In association with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., Hofstra University Continuing Education also offers this program to prepare individuals with the educational requirements to qualify for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam. The BDC, a designated New York State Entrepreneurial Assistance Center, offers support to these entrepreneurs through Entrepreneurship Assistance Center EAC, Operation Downtown Seminar; Digital Marketing Bootcamps; financial management using QuickBooks and providing assistance with the Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Certification application process. The BDC has supported more than 1,300 entrepreneurs since 1991 and received the Outstanding Performance Award from Empire State Development Corp. in 2009, 2013 and 2019.
