    IMPAIRED DRIVER PROGRAMOffers an Impaired Driver Program for eligible motorists convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), or Driving While Alcohol Impaired (DWAI). The Department of Motor Vehicles determines eligibility for the program. If you are eligible, you must register at your local DMV office. For detailed information on the program visit the DMV website. Nassau Community College offers a convenient schedule with weekend and evening classes. Classes are offered Monday - Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings and occasionally Sunday mornings. The $234 fee (certified check or money order) is payable to NCC, at the first class. Classes are located in the NCC North Annex at 500 Endo Blvd, Garden City.     MOTHER AND CHILD PROGRAMOffers a 16 Adult bed residential treatment facility for pregnant and postpartum women and their infants up to two years of age. The MAC program enables pregnant substance abusers to receive treatment without having to be separated from their children. Treatment services include intensive individual, group and family counseling, structured socialization and vocational/educational training. In addition, the women receive instructions on pre-natal care, Lamaze, and parenting skills. While the women are involved in treatment activities, the children are cared for by certified child care workers in the program's on-site Child Development Center.
